The Supply Chain Industry Network (SCIN) is a national hub that connects immigrant, BIPOC, and globally trained professionals in supply chain, operations, and project management. 

Our goal is to foster community, mentorship, and professional development opportunities so newcomers can thrive in Canada. We host networking events, offer mentorship programs, and share industry resources to empower our members

💼 Volunteer Roles for 2026
  1. Event Coordinator & Morderators : Plan and facilitate weekly networking sessions and webinars. Introduce speakers, manage Q&A, and ensure sessions run smoothly and professionally.
  2. Career Support Liaison : Provide members with job‑search guidance, resume tips, and interview coaching. Manage a 15‑minute support call schedule for one‑on‑one consultations.
  3. Mentorship Coordinator : Recruit mentors, manage the mentor–mentee matching process, and monitor progress. Ensure mentorship activities are inclusive and impactful.
  4. Marketing and Promotion Team: Drive event awareness through social media and outreach.
  5. Content & Community Contributor: Write and curate posts, articles, and educational content. Moderate online discussions on WhatsApp, Mighty Network, and LinkedIn to keep conversations productive and positive.
  6. Communications & Outreach Coordinator: Draft newsletters, social media posts, and announcements. Promote events, success stories, and volunteer opportunities to the wider community.
  7. Technical Support & Platform Guide: Assist members with navigating SCIN’s digital tools (Google, Zoom, Mighty Network, etc.). Troubleshoot issues during online events and maintain platform security.
  8. Sponsorship and Partnerships Team: Identify potential sponsors and manage relationships.
  9. Networking and Engagement Team: Facilitate networking opportunities for attendees.
  10. Photography and Media Team: Capture event highlights through photography and videography.
  11. Volunteer Liaison : Onboard new volunteers, track volunteer hours, and provide support to ensure a positive volunteer experience.

SCIN O & M Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee all SCIN events, from weekly networking sessions to annual conferences.
  • Direct the development and delivery of career support, including resume reviews, interview coaching, and one‑on‑one consultations.
  • Approve and guide content creation for newsletters, blogs, social media, and discussion forums to educate and engage members.
  • Maintain a consistent voice and ensure content aligns with SCIN’s values and professional standards.
  • Set strategy for public communication channels, including newsletters, social media, and promotional campaigns.
  • Promote SCIN events, success stories, and opportunities to prospective members and partners.
  • Oversee the functionality and security of SCIN’s digital tools (WhatsApp, Mighty Network, LinkedIn, Zoom) and handle any troubleshooting escalations.
  • Ensure members have access to the platforms they need and implement best practices for cybersecurity and data privacy.
  • Cultivate relationships with corporate sponsors, industry associations, and community organisations.
  • Plan and oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training of volunteers to support network activities.
  • Deliver regular reports to SCIN leadership and stakeholders on program performance, membership engagement, and operational challenges.
